The Science Behind the Goal (La Ciencia del Gol) (2009) – Soccer is the most popular sport in the world.  It is a sport of passion and pride. This one-hour coproduction between Discoery Channel and Caracol Televisión explores how science and technology are playing a big part in the evolution of soccer.  From the players physical fitness to make their bodies ready to play at sea level or at high altitudes in the Andes mountains, to the development of new tecnologies to design players uniforms or shoes to run faster or to kick the ball much harder, to  changes on the ball to make it more difficult for goalies to stop it.
